Actors Olivia Wilde, 36, and Jason Sudeikis, 46, are reportedly going their separate ways after a seven-year engagement and nine-year relationship. And apparently, this alleged breakup isn’t fresh! “The split happened at the beginning of the year,” a source close Olivia and Jason told PEOPLE.

“It’s been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine,” the source continued. Olivia and Jason share son Otis Alexander, 6, and daughter Daisy Josephine, 4; the insider added, “The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.” HollywoodLife has reached out to Olivia’s and Jason’s reps for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Olivia, who is famous for starring in movies like Tron: Legacy, met Jason — also a big name in films like We’re The Millers — after a finale party for Saturday Night Live in 2011. Jason revealed this himself on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in 2017, saying, “We hit it off that night.” Hollywood’s funny man said it “was off to the races” once he had learned that the famous actress had “stopped dating someone.”

At the time of meeting Jason, Olivia was still relatively fresh out of a marriage with filmmaker Tao Ruspoli (they had been married between 2003-2011). “I was just learning to be by myself; I’d been divorced nine months,” Olivia told Marie Claire in 2013. She added, “We were both seeing people but were single. He seemed to really see me, see through the bullshit. He said very few words and couldn’t keep eye contact. He was so handsome, and he could dance.” Olivia actually doubted that Jason would even be “interested” in her!

Olivia had no reason to think such things, because she began dating Jason by November of 2011. Jason proposed to Olivia by January of 2013! He even went on to star in Olivia’s directorial debut, Booksmart, which premiered in 2017 (Jason played the iconic school principal, Jordan Brown).
