Jon Snow’s been brought back to life, so why not Drogo? Jason Momoa confirms whether or not Daenerys’s first love will return in any way during ‘Game of Thrones’ season 8!
Sorry, Daenerys and Drogo fans. There’s no hope of a reunion between these two in the final season of Game of Thrones, unless it’s in the after-life. While talking about hanging out with the cast and crew in Belfast, Ireland, Jason Momoa, 38, crushed our dreams of a Drogo resurrection. “You just want to see your friends and you end up making headlines going, ‘Drogo’s back!’ and I’m like, ‘He’s dead! He can’t come back, it wouldn’t work,'” he told Entertainment Weekly.
Well, that settles it! Then again, it would be kind of hard for Drogo to come back. Drogo’s body was placed in a pyre and burned during his funeral. Jon Snow’s body was still intact when he was brought back to life. However, Jason didn’t say anything about coming back via flashback. Jason did return to the show as Khal Drogo in a flashback sequence when Daenerys was in the House of the Undying.
Even though Drogo won’t be back in the final season, Jason is still going to watch like the avid fan he is. “It’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV,” Jason told EW about the final episodes. “It’s going to be unbelievable. It’s going to f**k up a lot of people.” The cast and crew is hard at work filming the final 6 episodes and will spend a year and a half working on them. A premiere date has not been announced, but season 8 will likely air in 2019. One thing’s for sure, we can’t wait to see Jason’s hilarious Instagram reactions to the final episodes.
