Veronica Mars star Brad Bufanda shockingly took his own life by jumping to his death on Nov. 1 and one 911 caller who lived nearby mistook the loud sound of Brad hitting the pavement for the sound of a gunshot. LISTEN TO THE CALL HERE. In the upsetting phone call, the caller confirms that there is one victim on the ground outside and asked the 911 operator if there were any reports of shots fired in the area. After they confirm that there were no other reports of a shooting, the caller seems to realize what might have happened instead and tells the operator they are in a building that is eleven stories high. The 34-year-old actor left behind a suicide note and letters to his family that were found after the tragic event. Although Brad made the terrible decision of suicide, it still seems to be a shock to those who were closest to him since he didn’t appear to have any substance abuse or emotional problems.
In addition to his role in Veronica Mars, Brad appeared in other popular series and films, including the 2004 film, A Cinderella Story and the 2008 series Co-Ed Confidential. He was also in the middle of filming a film called Stan the Man at the time of his death. We are sending warm and healing thoughts to all those who knew and cared for Brad during this difficult time.
