The question we all wanted answered on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ is: who the heck is A.D.? Well, cast member Brendan Robinson spilled major scoop in an all-new interview and revealed that hints about Uber A’s identity have actually been dropping ‘for a long time’ now.
Get your theories together, PLL Army! The big A.D. reveal is on its way, but just so you know, the villain’s identity won’t be pulled from out of nowhere. “I won’t tell you what specific clues there are but there are hints that have been dropped for a long time,” Brendan Robinson, 27, told Entertainment Tonight. He also revealed that there will be “a lot of flashbacks in the finale.” Whew! We’re going to need some serious explanation.
While Brendan, who plays Lucas, couldn’t say too much about the identity of A.D., he did say that “it’s possible” that Lucas is the masked villain. However, he doesn’t think Lucas has sinister motives whatsoever. He added that if Lucas is involved in all this A.D. drama, it would be for a “good reason,” like trying to protect Hanna!
Personally, we don’t think Lucas is A.D., but he’s likely a pawn in A.D.’s game. Another one of those pawns has to be Paige. Those video chats from Aria that A.D. has been sending sound eerily similar to Paige’s voice. Paige has always been a little shady, so it wouldn’t surprise anyone if she’s been roped into being one of A.D.’s minions.
Showrunner Marlene King, 55, has teased back in Feb. 2017 that the A.D. reveal is a “real human story.” She also added that “the best villains are relatable people.” Pretty Little Liars currently airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform. The series finale will air June 27.
