That is quite a peace offering. HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively to the winner of ‘Survivor: Game Changers,’ who revealed how exactly that win happened — and that included the biggest deal of the season. (Warning: spoilers ahead.)
Many people were curious as to why Brad Culpepper decided to bring Sarah to the finale over Tai — but now we know. After winning the immunity/reward challenge, Brad brought Troyzan and Sarah along for lunch, and while there, they made a final three deal. “I knew I wasn’t on the chopping block at the final six,” Sarah told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY following the finale. “At our reward, I knew that they didn’t trust me 100 percent, so what I had to do was give up material items. I offered my bracelet that I wear all the time, and said, ‘If I turn on you, do what you want with it — throw it in the ocean, throw it in the fire whatever. But I want something also.'”
With that, Sarah told them she wanted security too — so Troyzan gave his bracelet, and Brad gave her his wedding band. “That was the point I felt the most confident that I was gonna win the game,” she told us. “It was a done deal. Obviously they can’t show that on TV, then you’d know it was a done deal, but I was really proud of that move. I told Brad I’d throw it in the ocean or give it back to him for a million dollars. I knew he loved his wife too much for him to turn.”
We also spoke to Brad, who added that to him, it wasn’t that big of a deal, and he wasn’t opposed to turning on it. “It’s not an expensive wedding ring. She was swearing on her kids that she wouldn’t go against people… it would have been the asme kind of thing; had I gone against Sarah and Tai, she would have taken my ring and threw it in the bay. But it’s not an expensive ring.” He also added that this was his third or fourth band, since had beat up the others during football.
And no, Monica would not have cared had he given it up. “Our marriage is much more than a ring,” he added. HollywoodLifers, are you shocked Brad gave up his wedding band? Let us know!
