Part two of ‘The Voice’ finale on May 23 will be jam-packed with epic performances, including duets featuring the four finalists and superstar artists. Ahead of the show, Lauren Duski, Chris Blue, Jesse Larson and Aliyah Moulden dished on what we can expect!
Little Big Town, Usher, CeeLo Green and Alessia Cara will be hitting the stage for special performances on the season finale of The Voice May 23 — they’ll each be joining one of the four finalists for highly-anticipated duets! Fittingly, country finalist Lauren Duski will be teaming up with LBT for a rendition of their hit “Better Man,” which Lauren actually performed during the show’s Battle Rounds. “I’ve been a fan of them for a long time now and I just feel like they’re incredible artists,” Lauren raved to HollywoodLife.com and other outlets after the May 22 episode of The Voice. “They really represent Nashville and country music in the best way. I have been dying to meet them and I feel like they just bring this energy to the stage no matter what they’re singing. I’m just really honored to be able to sing with them.”
Meanwhile, Blake Shelton’s other finalist, Aliyah Moulden, will be duetting with Alessia. “I just think the success that she has had at such a young age is remarkable and super inspiring for somebody like me trying to make it in the industry,” Aliyah gushed. “We practiced together and she is also one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She just really showed me that even the most successful people can still be so down to earth. She really inspired me.”
All season long, Adam Levine has been referring to his artist, Jesse Larson, as the “white CeeLo Green,” so it’s only fitting that CeeLo comes back to The Voice to sing “Shining Star” with Jesse, right?! “I have a ton of respect for CeeLo Green. He is a huge icon of music and I love all his music,” Jesse revealed. “So to be even compared a little bit to him and his sound is a huge honor to me. You know, I don’t feel like I am [a white CeeLo]. I’m in the same world as him, but if anything, it is because I am such a huge fan of CeeLo that someone probably says I sound like him.”
Finally, fellow former coach, Usher, will be joined by Alicia Keys’ final artist, Chris Blue, to sing “Everybody Hurts.” “He’s incredible,” Chris said. “Usher is, like, the guy. It was fun in rehearsal and I look forward to tomorrow night. It’s going to be really, really special.”
