Look who’s back! Miley Cyrus took a break from ‘The Voice’ this season, but she returned on the May 23 finale to sing her new song ‘Malibu,’ and she dedicated it to her friend, Ariana Grande, and the victims of the Manchester bombing.
The two hour finale of The Voice was jam-packed with performances, including one from former coach Miley Cyrus! During the show, Miley took the stage to belt out her newest hit “Malibu,” and, as always, she was amazing. Before beginning the song, Miley told the crowd she was dedicating the performance to her “good friend” Ariana Grande, along with the victims of the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester on May 22. The bombing took place outside of Ariana’s concert at Manchester Arena and has rocked artists all over the world.
Miley was a coach on season 11 of The Voice, but with Gwen Stefani, 47, back on the panel this time around, she took a season off. However, she will return once again in the fall alongside Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson and Adam Levine, and we can’t wait to have her personality back on the show every week! Miley is currently in the middle of a major comeback, with “Malibu” kicking off a new era of music for the 24-year-old, and there’s sure to be a lot more good things to come.
For now, though, the focus is on the season 12 Voice finalists, Chris Blue, Aliyah Moulden, Lauren Duski and Jesse Larson. All the singers totally killed it on part one of the finale May 22, and the decision on who will win was left entirely in America’s hands. By the end of this episode, we’ll finally know who our winner is!
