Do you believe in life after love? Celine Dion seems to, as she jammed out to Cher’s performance at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21. Seriously — you have to watch this video of her dancing and singing along to ‘Believe.’ You’ll feel like you’re in 1997 all over again!
It looks like we weren’t the only ones that loved Cher‘s performance of “Believe” and “If I Could Turn Back Time” at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21. Celine Dion, who had previously performed “My Heart Will Go On” in celebration of the song and Titanic‘s 20th anniversary, was seen backstage dancing and signing along to Cher’s performance.
As seen in the video below, Celine, 49, snapped her fingers, wiggled her hips and pointed at the screen in excitement as Cher, 71, dazzled in diamonds and nipple pasties on stage. Even the press joined in, as they each sang the lyrics to “Believe.” And Celine kept snapping her fingers while enjoying the show. Watch the video below!
As we told you, Celine was on hand to celebrate her signature song’s 20th anniversary, while Cher was invited to perform two of her biggest hits and receive the Icon Award. Past recipients include Celine Dion, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond. “I’m honored to receive the 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award and take the stage to celebrate my love of music with my fans,” Cher said in a statement before the show. “Seeing so many powerful artists — especially female artists emerge and take their place in history through the years has been incredible. I’m honored to be amongst the previous ICON Award winners and to celebrate this milestone achievement by performing ‘Believe’ on the show.” Click here to see more pics from the 2017 Billboard Music Awards!
