No frauds here! Nicki Minaj brought the fire to the Billboard Music Awards with an explosive, 9-minute opening performance, featuring Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta!
Leave it to Nicki Minaj to give us another iconic performance at the Billboard Music Awards. On May 20, Nicki opened up the BBMAs with a jaw-dropping performance. With the help of Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo, and David Guetta, Nicki worked it with renditions of “Swalla,” “Light My Body,” and her own hit “No Frauds.”
In her 9 minute performance, Nicki kicked off the show with a number of incredible dance performances going through each of her hot hits throughout her incredible career. Nicki opened up with “No Frauds,” taking aim at her rival Remy Ma, wearing a super sexy chain mail and leather look, proving she truly is the QUEEN of Rap! Lil Wayne took over the lyrics while Nicki had a quick hair style change, pulling out her ponytail and showing off her long, knee-length hair. As her buddy Drake nodded along in the crowd, Nicki went into “Light My Body” with David Guetta. While Jason Derulo took it over with “Swalla,” Nicki had a quick outfit change — into more leather and some mesh — before joining him in their latest collab. It was fire! In her last song of the night, Nicki gave a sultry performance of “Regret In Your Tears.”
While the Queen of Rap hasn’t released an album in two years, she has recently been featured on Katy Perry‘s diss track “Swish Swish,” and DNCE‘s upbeat hit “Kissing Strangers.” Nicki also let out her own diss track “No Frauds,” in her #3PackfromParis EP, which also included “Regret in Your Tears,” and “Changed It.” This is her first performance the BBMAs since 2015, when she took the stage to show off her assets in a sexy performance of “The Night Is Still Young.” She was then joined by David Guetta for a powerful version of “Hey Mama.” It was definitely a performance to remember!

Tonight, Nicki is nominated for just one BBMA — the Billboard Chart Achievement Award. She’s up against Luke Bryan, The Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots and The Weeknd in the category. Barbie is also nominated for Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BETs on June 25th where she’s up against her rival Remy Ma — so the title for Queen of Rap will truly be decided then!
