On BIG’s birthday, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs came out at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards to not only introduce Notorious BIG’s son, CJ Wallace, but also to show the trailer for his new film that takes a look inside Bad Boy Productions.
Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story will give the world a real, raw and exclusive look behind the scenes at Bad Boy, through the head of the label, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Diddy came out to introduce the trailer at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on May 22, which would have been Biggie’s 45th birthday.
“Tonight I’m here to talk about my friend, my brother, my artist, the Notorious B.I.G.,” Diddy said at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas. “In 1993, it was all a dream. That’s when god blessed me with the opportunity and the vision to start Bad Boy Records. Bad Boy Records became one of the most successful hip hop and R&B labels in history… it all started with the Notorious BIG.” With that, he introduced C.J. Wallace, Biggie’s 20-year-old son who will soon have music of his own out.
After his speech, he presented the trailer to his new film, which also stars Lil’ Kim, Faith Evans, Mase, Mary J. Blige, Clive Davis, DMX and many more. “I knew this was a story that should be shared with the world. Heather Parry and Live Nation Productions, and Director Daniel Kaufman, helped create this very special documentary,” Sean said about making the movie in a statement. “Now I’m blessed to also be working with Apple Music to showcase the film and share Bad Boy’s history and impact with fans. The support Live Nation, Apple Music and everyone on the team has given to this project is a true testament to the Bad Boy legacy.”
