Has Tom Brady been hiding a long history of concussions? His supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, revealed that her New England Patriots husband gets brain injuries ‘all the time’ – even suffering a concussion last year! Did he get hurt in the NFL’s big game?
Gisele Bundchen, 36, didn’t say when her husband, Tom Brady, 39, suffered a concussion during the 2016-17 NFL season, but the fact that she revealed this traumatic brain injury was shocking enough! While appearing on the May 17 episode of CBS This Morning, Gisele responded to a question about how she asked Tom to retire. She said she did so out of concern for his health. “It’s not the most unaggressive sport. He had a concussion last year. I mean, he has concussions pretty much every [year] – I mean, we don’t talk about it,” she said. “But he does have concussions.”
If this is true, than this might be a bigger scandal than Deflate-Gate. The New England Patriots didn’t list Tom as having a concussion at any point during the 2016-17 season, according to ESPN. On Top of that, Tom is not listed as ever having a concussion or a head injury throughout his professional career. Over the past four seasons, Tom has reported injuries to his knee, thigh, ankle, and right shoulder, but not once has he registered a concussion, per Deadspin.
Tom, who turns 40 on Aug. 3, says that he wants to play for at least five more years. “I always said [I’ll play until] my mid-40s,” he told ESPN’s Ian O’Connor, “and naturally that means around 45. If I get there and I still feel like I do today, I don’t see why I wouldn’t want to continue.” Well, Tom’s about to start his 18th year in the NFL, and if he has suffered even half of what Gisele claims he has suffered, that may put the man many call the “greatest of all time” at a major health risk.

Gisele clearly doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her beloved. “I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through, like, through that kind of aggression…all the time, that cannot be healthy for you, right?” Gisele said during CBS This Morning. “I mean, I’m planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100, I hope.”
