It turns out that Brie Bella was unable to give birth to her daughter the old-fashioned way. Her twin sister, Nikki, revealed all the details of the birth, including why she had a C-section and how the little girl’s been doing.
Brie Bella, 33, is much stronger than we thought! The Total Divas star gave birth to her baby girl, Birdie, on May 9, but her body was just not having it when she tried to have the baby naturally. It turns out that her form is too fit to deliver a child that way and she spent 22 hours in labor! Nikki Bella, 33, dished on the details on what happened with Brie in the delivery room. “She tried to go natural, and it was like eight or ten hours into it she had to get an epidural and then in the end had to get a C-section,” Nikki told E! News on May 16. “Her abs were too tight! Go figure. Leave it to the WWE Superstar, abs too tight!” Damn, girl! The twin also discussed how her sister’s been doing since becoming a mom and so far, she’s “feeling good.”
“She’s healing and she’s feeling great every day,” Nikki said. “I mean, it’s definitely a struggle for women in the beginning, and it should be. I saw what they put their bodies through and oh my gosh! I give all the moms in the world so much credit. That is not easy, labor. I think it takes minimum a week to heal from that.” It was worth the struggle though since Brie was so excited to welcome her baby girl into the world. Now here she is!
The little one is doing splendidly as well! Nikki said that her niece is “amazing and the cutest thing in the whole world.” Aww! Nikki also mentioned that she’s already adjusted to being an aunt. “It’s my twin sister, you know what I mean? So, it’s just an immediate bond there,” she said.
