Really, Barack Obama was just saying what half of America was thinking. Though Obama will respectfully decline from trashing President Donald Trump in public, behind closed doors is a different thing, as Barack reportedly said he thinks Trump is completely full of ‘sh*t.’
Barack Obama, 55, has been mostly respectful towards President Donald Trump, 70, and his scandal-laden presidency. Yet, before exiting the White House, the 44th president had a moment when he let his true feelings about the ex-Celebrity Apprentice star fly. While away from the cameras and in a private conversation with a pair of pals, Barack reportedly called Donald out for being nothing but a two-faced liar. “He’s nothing but a bullsh*tter,” Barack said, the two anonymous friends tell PEOPLE magazine.
Now, this wasn’t just Barack getting mad at watching Trump spout another easily disprovable claim on TV. This alleged “bullsh*tter” comment supposedly came after Donald called up Obama on the night of the 2016 election. During this reported call, Trump — one of the loudest voices leading the Birther movement, that which claimed Barack wasn’t born in the USA – suddenly professed “respect” and “admiration” for Obama. Not to mention, Trump also called Barack “woefully unprepared,” “unacceptable” and “unfit” to be president during his campaign. So, Barack wasn’t really buying this sudden love-fest.
While many voters have similar thoughts about the massively unpopular president (as Donald’s popularity rating has dropped to 39.9% after firing James Comey, 56, according to Heavy.com), don’t expect Obama to blast Trump in public anytime soon. He’s doing his best to follow the unwritten code of conduct for ex-presidents. The unspoken rule is that once exiting the White House, presidents don’t talk trash about the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Obama knows that “ex-presidents should not be looking over the shoulder of their successors and commenting on every decision,” David Axelrod, 62, his long-time friend and political strategist, said. Still, Barack has thrown some subtle shade towards Donald since exiting the White House. He supported Jimmy Kimmel, 49, after the late night host trashed Trump – and the GOP – for attempting to revoke preexisting condition coverage from health care. He also made fun of Trump’s twitter fingers. Ooh. Going after Trump’s hands? That would make Donald more upset than saying he’s full of “sh*t.”
What do you think about Barack reportedly calling Donald a “bullsh*tter,” HollywoodLifers? Do you agree with this assessment?
