Need more bachelor in your life? ABC has you covered. The network announced on May 16 that they’d be taking the franchise to the next level: ‘The Bachelor Winter Games,’ an ‘ode to the Winter Olympic Games.’
Favorites participants from the past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette (that means Chad Johnson, right?) will compete on the new spinoff, set to air in February 2018 on ABC. The Bachelor Winter Games will reunite all-stars from the show at a luxurious winter resort; there, they will go compete in “winter-themed athletic challenges,” and of course, try to find love. Of course it will be executive produced by the mastermind behind the franchise, Mike Fleiss along with Martin Hilton.
We can’t help but notice that the tagline for the series does seem a little familiar — MTV’s Are You The One: Second Chances brings back exes and couples do compete in athletic challenges and of course, hooking up ensues. It seems that this is similar. It’s only one of the many Bachelor spinoffs that we’ve got over the years, including The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, and Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise. The new season of The Bachelorette, starring the first black bachelorette ever, Rachel Lindsay, is set to premiere on Monday, May 22.
The Bachelor Winter Games is just one new show that ABC added this year, including the new American Idol, Dancing with the Stars Junior, Alex, Inc., The Crossing, Deception, For The People, The Good Doctor, The Gospel of Kevin, The Mayor, and Splitting Up Together.
