As actors, story time quickly escalates into a HUGE production for Chris Pratt & Anna Faris! Revealing on ‘Ellen’ that he & his wife get hilariously competitive with each other when entertaining their son Jack, Chris admitted bedtime isn’t complete without characters, voice acting & more! SO cute!
Bedtime stories are no joke in Anna Faris, 40, and Chris Pratt‘s, 37, household. Not only are the two incredibly funny individuals, but they’re also professional actors — so you can only imagine how wrapped up into children’s books they can get when reading aloud to their adorable son Jack, 4. Lucky for us, the actor gave fans a little insight into what story time is like for his fam while appearing on the May 12 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And we just have one question — can WE get in on these storybook sessions? They seriously seem hella entertaining!
“Jack is four, so you and Anna I know read to him at night — bedtime stories,” Ellen DeGeneres, 59, said while sitting next to Chris on her show. With that, Chris’ face adorably lit up as he exclaimed, “Yes!” “That must be — I mean, you must both get into it and act it out so much that he’s got like a performance going on!” the comedian stated. Laughing, Chris couldn’t help but agree. “He does, yeah he does — he has two actors reading to him!” he said. “The other day we were reading this book — it’s so funny because we’re strangely competitive with each other when it comes to entertaining him and getting into the voices and the characters. I’ll read the left page and she’ll read the right page.”
“So we’re reading this book,” Chris explained. “And I start adding a little accent for the character, and then she’s like, ‘Oh!’ And she starts doing these…and then before long, it’s like, we’re completely not even paying attention to whether or not he’s even… We’re so competitive with one another!” Jokingly, Chris even added that he calls his hair and makeup team to come over! “I’ve got my costumes,” the Guardians of the Galaxy star laughed. “It was funny, [Anna and I] got a kick out of that.” But apparently Jack doesn’t find all the theatrics quite as funny.
“He’s asleep, he doesn’t even know,” Ellen joked. “Yeah, he does not care, he’s like, ‘Seriously?'”” Chris added. Oh well, we’re sure this bedtime routine of theirs would make for a pretty hilarious comedy sketch!
Tell us, HollywoodLifers — how fun would it be to watch Chris and Anna read to Jack? SO hilarious, right?
