Donald Trump totally attacked Stephen Colbert for his late night jokes in a scathing interview! The President trashed his show and called it ‘dying’ and ‘filthy’ in a quote that will just blow you away!
Donald Trump, 70, totally went after Stephen Colbert for some of the jokes the late night host had made at his expense. The President brutally called Stephen, 52, a “no-talent guy,” while speaking with Time magazine on Monday, May 8. “There’s nothing funny about what he says. And what he says is filthy,” he told the mag.
Donald brought up Stephen’s opening monologue from May 1st when he made an oral-sex joke about Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin. “You talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head,” Stephen said. “In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c*ck holster,” he joked. The President seemed to think that barbs like that would only help him. “You have kids watching. And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him,” he said.
The President still wasn’t done and attacked Stephen’s ratings too. “The guy was dying. By the way they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better,” Donald said. Arnold Schwarzenegger, 69, went through a similar battle with the President when he hosted The Celebrity Apprentice before he quit over the “Trump baggage.” Donald even claimed that Stephen got his best ratings when he appeared on the show. “His show was dying. I’ve done his show. … But when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high—highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had,” he said.”
Stephen might have something to say about this on his show. He previously admitted that he didn’t regret what he said on May 1st, but apologized if he took it too far. Some people criticized him because they felt that the joke about Trump and Putin was homophobic. “Now, if you saw my monologue Monday, you know that I was a little upset at Donald Trump for insulting a friend of mine. So at the end of that monologue I had a few choice insults for the president in return. I don’t regret that. He, I believe, can take care of himself. I have jokes; he has the launch codes. So, it’s a fair fight,” he told the audience.
