It’s time for the Final Battle on ‘Once Upon A Time.’ Will everyone make it out alive? ‘OUAT’ bosses are spilling major spoilers about the season 6 finale. With Jennifer Morrison set to exit, what will happen to Emma in the finale?!
The Black Fairy’s curse has arrived on Once Upon A Time, putting everyone we know and love in danger. OUAT showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis revealed in a new interview that there’s going to be a “little twist” on the curse that we haven’t seen before. “I would say that the Final Battle and the curse are all tied in one, and the first act of the finale will make sense of what we’re doing this time,” Eddy said in the interview, according to Entertainment Weekly.
He also added, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “Creatively it’s time to end a few stories… We feel like this is the kind of show that regenerates, and I think when you see the ending you’ll go, ‘Oh, yeah.’”
When asked if everyone will make out alive, Eddy cryptically teases, “Can’t promise you that.” With Jennifer Morrison, 38, departing after season 6, could Emma not survive the finale? It’s definitely a possibility. Emma is a main character on the show, so a Once Upon A Time without her is going to be a strange one. We’re very interested in seeing how Emma’s storyline ends.
To mentally prepare yourselves for the season 6 finale, here’s the synopsis: “Henry awakens to a cursed Storybrooke and discovers Emma has been in the mental hospital, and the Black Fairy is the new mayor. Henry attempts to help Emma regain her memory while Gold tries to find out what has really happened to Belle. Meanwhile, Snow, Charming, Regina, Zelena and Hook are trapped in a crumbling Fairy Tale Land and desperately try to figure out a way to be reunited with Emma and Henry.”
Once Upon A Time’s two-hour finale will air May 14 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
