Ay caramba! It’s time for Cinco de Drinko… er, de Mayo! From tequila to Tecates to tacos, you’re in luck because the holiday lands on a Friday this year and we have you covered with a TON of cocktail recipes to keep you celebrating through the weekend.
The Aphrodisiac Margarita
2 1⁄2 oz. Figenza Fig Vodka
1⁄2 oz. Orange Liqueur
1 oz. Pomegranate Juice
1⁄2 oz. Lime Juice
Serve on the rocks and garnish with a lime.
Cointreau Spiced Strawberry Margarita
1 oz. Cointreau
2 oz. blanco tequila
1 oz. fresh lime juice
3 dashes angostura bitters
Muddle the strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add Cointreau, tequila, fresh lime juice and bitters and shake with ice. Strain over ice in a rocks glass with a cinnamon sugar rim and garnish with a strawberry.

Juice of 4 to 5 limes
Juice of 2 lemons
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
1/4 cup sugar
4 ounces (4 shots) Triple Sec or orange liqueur
1 bottle of white wine (Winc’s 2015 Field Theory Albariño)
Salt and limes to garnish
Combine the citrus juices, orange juice concentrate, and sugar in a pitcher and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the Triple Sec and wine. Pour into salt rimmed (optional) glasses over a few ice cubes. Garnish with lime. Enjoy!
Coralina Margarita Created by Riesler Morales of Mexico City, Mexico
1.75 oz Patrón Reposado
.75 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
.75 oz Simple syrup
1 oz Fresh lime juice
.5 oz Red Wine (Mexican, or other)
+ Sugar-salt rim*
Pulverize .25 cup dried hibiscus in a spice grinder. Add .25 cup sugar and .25 cup kosher salt and pulse until combined.
Combine Patrón Reposado, Patrón Citrónge Orange, simple syrup and lime juice in a shaker tin; add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe rimmed with sugar-salt rim.* Carefully float red wine on the surface of the cocktail and garnish with a lime wheel.
Sparkling Rosé Sangria
1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup raspberries
1 cup blanco tequila
¼ cup Agave In The Raw®
1 (750 ml) bottle rosé wine
2 cups sparkling water, chilled
Wash all fruit thoroughly. Cut grapefruit into quarters or eighths, and cut limes into quarters. Juice limes and grapefruit pieces into a pitcher, then add spent fruit into pitcher as well. Add strawberries and raspberries. In a cocktail shaker full of ice, shake the blanco tequila and Agave In The Raw® for about 10 seconds, until combined and chilled. Add to pitcher. Add rosé to pitcher and stir with a long wooden spoon. You may refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to blend, but it is not required. Top with sparkling water and stir again when ready to serve. Spoon a few pieces of the boozy fruit into each cup.
3 oz. Figenza Fig Vodka
Muddled Fresh Mint & Lime
Top with Club Soda
Serve over ice.
Mr. Agave & Ms. Tuna
2 parts Tres Agaves Blanco
6 drops of the tequila-infused with Habanero
¾ parts Lime Juice
½ part Prickly Pear Puree (such as boiron)
¾ parts Tres Agaves Agave Syrup
Add all ingredients in the shaker; add ice, shake and strain in coupe or martini glass.
Activated DON JULIO 70 Charcoal Margaritas Created by Lo Bosworth
1.5 fluid ounces Don Julio 70 Añejo Claro Tequila
1 fluid ounce fresh lime juice
1 fluid ounce fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves
1 teaspoon fresh jalapeño, diced
1 teaspoon agave
1/4 teaspoon activated charcoal
1 lime wedge for garnish
Muddle together fresh lime juice, lemon juice, cilantro leaves, and jalapeño. Let sit for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to come together. Combine the fresh juices, cilantro and jalapeño with Don Julio 70 Tequila, activated charcoal and agave into a shaker filled with ice. Shake for at least 30 seconds. Pour into a beautiful glass of your choosing and garnish with a lime wedge.
2 parts Tres Agaves Añejo
1 part pineapple puree
1 part tamarind syrup (tamarind paste mixed with equal parts refined sugar and water)
2 dash angostura bitters
Pour all ingredients into the shaker with ice; shake and strain on the rocks and garnish with pineapple wedge.
Celebración Punch Created by Milagro Tequila Ambassador, Jaime Salas
6 parts Milagro Silver
12 Parts Guava Nectar (pink)
2 Parts Ginger Simple Syrup
3 parts Lime Juice
Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl and mix. Top with Club Soda or Prosecco. Garnish with Lime Wheels and White Edible Flowers.
1½ parts SVEDKA Blue Raspberry
¾ part fresh lime juice
½ part agave nectar
3 fuchsia ice cubes*
Steep ½ cup hibiscus tea in 3 cups water for 30 minutes. Strain and pour into ice cube molds. Allow to freeze then use as ice cubes. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh fuchsia ice*. Garnish with a lime disc.
Mango Basil Margarita by Andrea Correale of Elegant Affairs
For The Puree:
1 ½ cups chopped fresh mango
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
For the marg:
1 ½ oz (3 tablespoons) Mango Puree
1 oz (2 tablespoons) blanco tequila
¼ oz clear orange-flavored liqueur
¾ oz fresh lime juice
2 fresh basil leaves, torn
1 oz club soda, chilled
Add 1 ½ oz of the mango puree, the tequila, orange-flavored liqueur, lime juice and torn basil leaves to cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice; cover and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass filled with fresh ice; top with club soda. Garnish with mango puree and basil leaves.
DeLeon Mexican Mule
1.5 oz DeLeon Platinum Tequila
.75 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
.25 oz Simple Syrup
Top with Ginger Beer
Garnish with Lime Wheel
Havana Club Rum Mule
1 part HAVANA CLUB Añejo Clásico Rum
2 parts chilled ginger beer
2 lime wedges
2 dashes aromatic bitters
Fill a copper mug with ice and squeeze in lime wedges. Pour in HAVANA CLUB Añejo Clásico rum and ginger beer. Complete by adding a dash of bitters and stir gently. Garnish with a mint sprig and a seasonal berry.
Top with 1oz seltzer water
Grilled Grapefruit Paloma
2 parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila
1 part fresh lime juice
¾ part ginger sage syrup
2 dashes Angostura® bitters
Top with grapefruit beer (appx. 1 part)
Combine equal parts sugar and water with 1 ginger slice and 4 sage sprigs and bring to a boil to create ginger sage syrup. Allow the mixture to cool, combine all ingredients except grapefruit beer in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice and top with grapefruit beer. Garnish with a grilled grapefruit slice.
