Our hearts are still pounding just thinking about that incredible performance by Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley! The dynamic duo rocked the 2017 ACMs on April 2 with an exciting rendition of ‘Flatliner’ that left the audience breathless!
How cool was that? Cole Swindell, 33, fulfilled a major dream by performing at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 2 with collaborator and mentor Dierks Bentley, 41, and he managed to bring the house down with him! “Flatliner” is one of the best songs of the year, and judging by the reaction of the audience, seeing Cole and Dierks perform it live got some hearts racing!
The duo’s raucous performance of “Flatliner” is the culmination of a year of incredible energy and collaboration. They just released the video for their new song just days before the ACMs, actually!

Cole was super cute on the ACMs red carpet prior to the show, gushing about the opportunity to perform with Dierks, and even go on tour with the country great! He wrote the song with Dierks in mind, and has made dreams come true by being able to perform the song with him in front of an audience. He told reporters on the ACMs red carpet that the performance was going to be one of the happiest moments of his life. It looked like it was even better than he expected!
This was the second time Dierks performed during the show — more if you count his dorky (but adorable) claim that he joined Thunder Down Under with Luke Bryan during the show opener! Dierks and Luke tore the house down with a rowdy, wonderful tribute to the late and great Chuck Barry, with assistance from legendary Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh.
“Johnny B. Goode” was such an energetic way to start up the show, and they did him proud. Dierks had a solo performance toward the stop of the show of “Black”, as well, the title song off his Album of the Year nominated album. His performance with Cole totally topped the night, though!
