Tarek El Moussa’s reality TV future is in his ex, Christina El Moussa’s, hands — and he’s begging her not to walk away from their hit show, ‘Flip or Flop,’ to pursue a solo series, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.
Christina and Tarek El Moussa’s 2016 split has left the future of Flip or Flop up in the air, and amidst new rumors that the show will be ending after its upcoming seventh season, he’s starting to “freak out” about what might happen next.
“Tarek loves the fame, money and lifestyle that the show brings and doesn’t want it to end,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s pleading with Christina not to walk away from it all to do her own thing. He knows they are better together and the odds of him getting his own spin-off are slim.” Networks are reportedly interested in a solo Christina project, and she’s even started shopping around an interior design show of her own, InTouch reported on March 29.
However, our source says she’s not fully ready to commit. “There was a time when Christina wanted nothing but to get out on her own, but she’s softening,” HollywoodLife.com’s insider admits. “She’s listening to Tarek and open to continuing their show.”
Christina and Tarek are currently filming Flip or Flop’s seventh season, and things seem to be totally amicable between them on set — they’ve even posted photos with one another, in which they have big smiles on their faces. Of course, the pair have two kids together, so even without work, they’ve had to remain in each other’s lives.
Meanwhile, after a fling with Gary Anderson, Christina is now reportedly dating hockey player Nate Thompson. Her rep tells us they’re just friends, but she was seen attending his hockey game in Anaheim last week! Look away, Tarek…
HollywoodLifers, do you think Christina should get her own show? Or should Flip or Flop continue as it is?
