Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian have been rocking sleek, straight, waist-length locks in 2017. It’s a wig, of course, but it looks super healthy and shiny.

Nicki Minaj has been strutting all over Instagram with hair down to her ankles. On March 28, Erykah Badu posted FLOOR LENGTH braids on Instagram, with the caption: “I like them long. Like a badu song. And I smell like strawberries…& gun powder. #micro #atomic #longAsTime @yasmin_amira_ #braids #patience #over9000.”

Erykah has been wearing braids for a long time. Back in November 2016, she hosted the Soul Train Awards, and The New York Times chronicled her hair process.

Hairstylist Yasmin Amira Davis usually braids her hair with an assistant. That particular session lasted six hours. Touch-ups are needed every two to four weeks for grown-out pieces.

“I wanted [the braids] to be as thin as the lines on your hand,” Erykah said. She estimates that she has thousands of braids, and each takes between 8 and 15 minutes to do.

Sometimes, there are up to 5 women working on her hair. “When we are all together, the rhythm — and we are all around, there’s incense … it just feels really good. It takes a village. A tribe. And it’s a sharing kind of thing.”

You don’t have to rock floor or ankle-length hair to want your locks to grow fast and healthy. Taking a supplement like Nutrafol will stimulate hair growth at the root. It’s available for both men and women, and contains biotin, Vitamins A, C and D, zinc, and keratin. It stops hair from thinning and will deliver serious results!

It’s sold at a ton of prestige salons like Rita Hazan, Sally Hershberger and Nine Zero One, as is recommended by hundreds of dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
