Pack your bags, we are going to VEGAS BABY! On Mar. 27th the NFL announced the most awesome news in the history of sports, the Oakland Raiders are moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Keep reading to learn why this move is so insanely epic!
The NFL announced on Mar. 27th that the Oakland Raiders have been approved to relocate to Las Vegas and this could be the most exciting news in the history of American sports… seriously. The city of Las Vegas is built for fun, sports and gambling, all three things that the NFL, especially the Raiders, celebrates. The Raiders have a reputation for being a team full of rebels, partiers, tough guys and winners so what better city to call home than Las Vegas?

Vegas needs an NFL team. The place is a non-stop, 24/7 party. During the NFL season, the energy in every casino, club and hotel is heightened infinitely. The scenarios created by having a pro team in sin city are mind boggling. Can you imagine the first Super Bowl in Vegas? The place will be nuts! Or what about when the Las Vegas Raiders actually win the Super Bowl? The party that will ensue will be out of control epic! With a team in Vegas, every other week during the season a new group of NFL teams and players will be rolling through town making it rain at every strip club in town! Vegas BABY!
Oakland, I love you, but the Raiders deserve a real home. Las Vegas will build a $2 billion dollar domed stadium for the team. For decades the Raiders have been sharing a baseball field with the MLB’s Oakland Athletics. Disgraceful. The shared field is the worst and oldest stadium in professional sports. The Oakland Coliseum is an out of date dump opened up in 1966. Time to move.
While the Raiders fans have always been loyal, the team has not been so dedicated. The marauders moved once before, in 1982, when they left Oakland to Los Angeles, then again in 1995 when they went back to Oakland. The team is a business and moving to Las Vegas is just that, a business decision. Las Vegas is close to both Los Angeles and Oakland where most Raiders fans live. This move will give fans more reason to visit one of the most entertaining cities in the world, Vegas baby!
HollywoodLifers, don’t worry, the Raiders will not be moving until at least 2019, but in the meantime, what do you think of the Raiders moving to Las Vegas? Let us know if you think this is a good or bad decision by the NFL.
