Oh no! Could Liam Payne and Chery Fernandez-Versini be fighting already, just two days after welcoming their baby boy into the world? Liam said they haven’t named their son yet, and previous interviews suggest he and Cheryl have very different ideas for the baby’s moniker, so a report claims they may be arguing. Get all the details here.
Liam Payne, 23, and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 33, just welcomed their first child into the world on March 25, but a new report claims they could already be arguing. Yes, we know — this should be a joyous time in their lives, but they haven’t named their baby yet, as Liam confirmed over the weekend, and it may be because they can’t agree on a moniker.
According to J-14, Cheryl once told GQ magazine (way before she even started dating Liam), “I love kids, I’m obsessed with babies. I know that’s what I was put on the earth to do – to be a mother…Of course I’ve thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.”
Alfie is cute, but Liam had another idea in mind when he was once asked about naming his then-future first child. The One Direction singer told Hits Radio, “I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”
Obviously, these are very old interviews and they were conducted before Liam and Cheryl even met each other, so their minds could have easily changed since then. Plus, J-14‘s report about the couple possibly arguing is just a guess on their part.
Regardless, we’re happy for Cheryl and Liam. We look forward to finding out what they name their baby, and we wish them years and years of happiness as a family!
