The great twin escape! Ever wonder what 2-year-old twins do during the middle of the night? Thanks to adorable toddler brothers Andrew & Ryan Balkin, wonder no more! Wreaking total havoc after their parents shut off the lights, the little cuties put on quite a show — watch the cuteness unfold here!
In hilarious home security footage, two-year-old twin brothers Andrew and Ryan Balkin proved that two really IS double the trouble when they were captured on camera sneaking out of their cribs to play in the middle of the night! The comical video shows the youngsters having plenty of fun after their parents leave the room, and they even do a little cleaning up after they’re all finished!
The funniest part though? Multiple times during the nearly-two-minute-long clip, Andrew and Ryan’s parents catch them in the act and put them back into their respective cribs after picking up their mess. But being caught red-handed never puts a stop to their mischief as they continue to escape and play after their parents leave. How adorable is that?
But apparently this isn’t the first time the twins have failed to respect bedtime. “We heard a whole bunch of giggling, so we started spying on them,” Andrew and Ryan’s dad, Jonathan Balkin, told TODAY. “We ended up spying on them for a little while on the camera just to make sure they weren’t getting into trouble,” Jonathan continued. “Then after a while we decided, okay, it’s time to intervene and put them to bed. That didn’t really work out so well.”
Jonathan also explained that the boys are usually put to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m., and will play for maybe an hour before nodding off. However, on this particular night, their nighttime party kept going until well after 10:00 p.m. — even after their parents busted in!
During the night, the twins did everything from piling pillows on top of each other to sitting side-by-side on their couch seemingly chatting. There’s no questions these cuties are BFFs! We can only imagine how much of a handful they are for their parents though. “They’re just happy and joyful and so busy,” their dad said. “They have a bond that other people who aren’t twins can appreciate.”
