It’s never too cold for ice cream! March 20 isn’t only the first day of Spring, but it’s also Free Cone Day at Dairy Queen! And let’s be honest — ice cream tastes better when it’s free.
Dairy Queen is giving away a free small cone of vanilla ice cream (one per customer) all day on March 20. The offer is available at most locations, excluding locations! This is the third year for the national holiday. Find out if your location is participating here.
“Welcome spring with a taste of summer. Visit #FreeConeDay on Monday, March 20th for one free small vanilla cone,” Dairy Queen tweeted to promote the holiday — let’s be honest, it should be an actual holiday.
DQ is also accepting donations for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Obviously, it’s not required, but all fans are encouraged to,” a Dairy Queen spokesperson told Today. In 2016, Dairy Queen raised $200,000 nationwide on Free Cone Day, and more than $120 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals over the past 32 years.
Rita’s is also giving away free Italian ice for the 25th consecutive year to celebrate the First Day of Spring! If you miss today’s specials at Dairy Queen or Rita’s, you have another chance for free ice cream on April 4: Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day! In select Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops around the world, they’ll be giving away free ice cream between 12pm and 8pm!
HollywoodLifers, will you get a free cone today?
