Yikes! Rapper Rick Ross did not hold back on his new album ‘Rather You Than Me’ and told Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman to end his ‘whole debacle’ with Lil Wayne. See Weezy’s grateful ‘from 1 boss 2 another’ reaction here!
Rick Ross, 41, had plenty to say about Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman’s, 48, feud with Lil Wayne, 34. The track “Idols Become Rivals” from Rick’s new album Rather You Than Me goes after Birdman in the third verse. “I pray you find the kindness in your heart for Wayne/His entire life, he gave you what there was to gain/I watched this whole debacle so I’m part to blame/Last request, can all producers please get paid,” he rapped.
Wayne has been locked in a legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money Records for the past two years over Lil Wayne’s Carter V album. He sued the record company for $51 million in 2015 and asked to be allowed out of his contract with the label. The album has not been released yet. Ross declared his support for Wayne with his “Idols Become Rivals” track and on Instagram too. “The Level of respect and Love that I have for WAYNE makes it hard to sit back and not speak on the situation,” he wrote before the track debuted. “The streets need you. Being a Boss means having the courage to say the things everybody thinking but scared to say.”

Rick said he wrote “Idols Become Rivals” because he used to have enormous respect for Birdman, but the situation with Lil Wanye changed that. “It’s basically me writing a letter to someone in the game that I looked up to (expletive) near the most and I hate what things have come to,” he told Billboard magazine in Feb. Lil Wayne obviously appreciated what Rick posted. He tweeted a screenshot of Rick’s Instagram caption along with a message of thanks. “Dam big bro that msg hit me in the heart,” he wrote, “and put the motivation on automatik start. I needed that. 1 boss 2 another.”
