Donald Trump disappointed many sports fans when he refused to partake in March Madness but don’t worry. Barack Obama is here to provide all the presidential picks for the 2017 NCAA basketball tournament. Find out which team Obama thinks is going to win it all!
Barack Obama, 55, revealed his picks for the 2017 edition of March Madness in a March 15 post about “sportsmanship and citizenship” at the Obama Foundation’s official website. Huh. Could this be a dig at President Donald Trump, 70, who declined to fill out a bracket for this year’s tournament?
Well, despite the Trump snub, Barack came through. What a guy. This year’s version of “Baracktology” has the former president pick Kansas, North Carolina, Duke and Arizona as his Final Four. It also seems Barack is sensing a showdown between two warring North Carolina rivals, as he picked UNC to take on Duke in the championship game. Ultimately, the president thinks the Tar Heels will take the title, leaving Duke in defeat.

Barack might have also thrown a little shade at the man currently in the White House, as his organization quoted an American voter. “A good sport, along with a good citizen, knows the main objective has nothing to do with the day’s score, but the willingness of people to continue playing no matter the outcome of a single contest,” said Solomon A. Hmm. Not being fixated on scores and being a good sport? That sounds like the complete opposite of a certain president, right?
Obama also filled out a bracket for the 2017 NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament. There’s not much drama on that end, as he has UConn winning. The Connecticut Huskies are on a 100+ game winning streak and the favorites to win. The only major shock with Barack’s bracket is that he counted Norte Dame twice, according to the Chicago Tribune. It seems that whomever copied Obama’s bracket forgot to make the change, as the women’s tournament has Notre Dame in the Oklahoma City region, where it doesn’t belong.
Trump might jump on this snafu to mock Obama. He certainly isn’t going to apologize to Barack after accusing him of wiretapping his phones. Donald has yet to provide any evidence of these outlandish claims, and his senior adviser, Kellyanne Conway, 50, claimed that Barack could have spied on Trump through a microwave! Gasp – maybe that’s why Donald didn’t fill out a March Madness bracket? He was afraid Obama was going to steal all his ideas!
What do you think about Obama’s bracket, HollywoodLifers? Do you agree with his picks? Do you think UNC is going all the way or do you think Barry’s going to take a big, fat L on this?
