“Fun day here catching up with life and doing a small photo shoot you may all like,” David Boreanaz, 47, captioned the photo he shared to Instagram on March 8. In it, Charisma Carpenter, 46, is making the kissy face and leaning into her old co-star. The two of course played Angel and Cordelia on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then David’s spinoff series, Angel.
David then added, “just one of many I saw today,” making us all think that there could be some sort of reunion photo shoot coming up — Friday, March 10 marks the 20-year anniversary if the Buffy pilot episode. Oddly enough, he did remove the photo shortly after sharing; we have to assume that whoever is publishing that reunion shoot is hoping to keep it a secret until its big reveal.
Of course, it is a little odd to see David with Charisma since just two weeks ago the Bones star revealed in an interview he had no interest whatsoever in doing a reunion.
“No, never; that’s done, see ya, next,” he said when asked by Parade magazine about some sort of remake. “I have no problem with the cult audience, and I would totally get back into the genre, but I’m not a big reunion guy. I tend to like to go forward. I don’t like to go backward—except when I’ve got ice skates on my feet and I’m playing hockey.”
Well, we can respect that but a nice photo shoot with some old friends that we all fell in love with never did anyone any harm. HollywoodLifers, do you hope to see a full Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast reunion? Let us know!
