Hellooooo again, Ryan Reynolds! The very first teaser for the ‘Deadpool’ sequel premiered before the first ‘Logan’ showings on March 3, and it’s downright hilarious. The trailer has us begging for more. Get all the details about the next ‘Deadpool’ installment now!
Deadpool didn’t make a cameo in Logan, but we got something better — a Deadpool 2 teaser! The first look at the sequel aired before Logan. The scene begins with two men fighting after an attempted mugging in an alley, according to /FILM. Wade Wilson walks by the scuffle without his Deadpool suit on listening to “Call Me Angel,” which is from Deadpool’s opening credits.
Once he realizes what’s going on, he knows he has to intervene. “Not in my city!” Wade says. Wade runs to a nearby phone booth — totally throwing shade Superman — and struggles to change into his Deadpool suit as the two men continue to fight. There’s a gunshot, and Deadpool’s heroic attempt is a little too late. After he gets all dolled up in his superhero suit, he finds a dead man on the ground. Deadpool apologizes profusely to the dead man and then kicks back and relaxes by lying on top of him. The scene ends with this text: “Deadpool…coming…not soon enough.” According to the outlet, the footage was shot by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch.
Ryan Reynolds showed his support for Hugh Jackman’s Logan by retweeting our sister site Indiewire’s review of the movie. “Yes!
@RealHughJackman brings all 31 flavors of shit-kickery to Logan. Couldn’t be happier for @mang0ld. Heart and soul. #Logan,” he tweeted.
Deadpool 2 was first announced in April 2016 after the first movie became a monster hit. The first movie’s director Tim Miller backed out of directing the sequel. Deadpool 2 does not have a premiere date, but is expected to hit theaters in 2018.
