Um, this is by far the best thing you’ll see all day! Ed Sheeran sang his hit ‘Shape Of You’ like never before with some help from Jimmy Fallon & The Roots — you have to check it out right here!
Ed Sheeran, 26, is one talented dude, and when it comes to changing up songs, he’s pretty much a master. Well, the British singer proved he can do just that with his own tracks, too! During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ed joined forces with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots to perform a brand new version of “Shape Of You,” and it’s pretty incredible.
Rather than playing a regular set, the men all jammed out on classroom instruments as Ed belted out the hit song. Yep, there was everything from xylophones and a kazoo to mini tambourines and keyboards. The 26-year-old even rocked out with a banana-shaped shaker! Plus, Jimmy and the Roots joined in for harmonies throughout the performance. Unreal!
Ed was on the late night talk show to promote his upcoming album “(Divide),” which finally drops on March 3. Ever since announcing his new music at the beginning of 2017, Ed’s wasted no time — he put out “Shape Of You” and “Castle on the Hill” on the same day in January, then gave fans another treat on Feb. 17 with the release of “How Would You Feel.”
In the weeks leading up to the upcoming album release, Ed has performed on Saturday Night Live, and took the stage at the Grammys and BRIT Awards. All of the performances have been incredible and left us wanting SO much more — we can’t wait for the inevitable tour that will surely be announced sometime soon!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of the classroom version of “Shape Of You”? Are you excited for Ed’s new album?
