Celebrating his first Oscar nomination, Justin Timberlake took the stage for a vibrant performance of his hit song, ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’, from ‘Trolls’ — with a cameo by his own wife!
Justin Timberlake, 36, just owned the stage at the 2017 Academy Awards for the very first time. On Sunday night, February 26, the singer performed “Can’t Stop The Feeling” from his 2016 animated movie, Trolls, and it was a total crowd pleaser.
To open the show, Justin came strolling in through the back of the Dolby Theatre followed by a handful of dancers. They pulled off some amazing dance moves while making their way down the tiny aisles, and just before taking the stage Justin stopped to say hello to his old Mickey Mouse Club co-star, Ryan Gosling. So cool!
But, that wasn’t the best part. The best part was when Justin returned back into the audience and made his way straight to his stunning wife, Jessica Biel. The pair joined each other for a dance as the song came to an end, which is when Justin stopped to kiss his wife in front of the entire Oscars audience. How sweet!
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Justin is nominated for his very first Oscar thanks to his work on “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. The song was nominated in the Best Original Song category, which is a huge deal for Justin as a songwriter and performer. Some people don’t know this, but there are actually two versions of “Can’t Stop The Feeling” on the Trolls soundtrack! One is the single version, which just features Justin singing, and the other includes the rest of the cast — including his main co-star, Anna Kendrick, 31.
