Yikes! Katy Perry was NOT having it when two of the red carpet hosts before the BRIT Awards tried to end her interview, so she just fired them and walked away. You HAVE to see the vid!
Katy Perry, 32, was totally feeling herself when she arrived on the red carpet at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday, February 22. However, she was not feeling the red carpet hosts, and she made that pretty clear during her interview with them!
“You’re gonna let me go? I’m firing you. I’m firing you,” Katy told the hosts, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons, as they tried to cut her interview. She then handed George her mic and walked off without so much as saying goodbye. Ouch!
That wasn’t the first time Katy shut the hosts down, either. Just a moment before “firing” them, George suggested that they wouldn’t “keep” Katy “too long”, to which she replied, “What? Alright, I’m leaving. Fine, I’ll leave.” Thankfully Lilah saved the awkward moment by complimenting Katy on her stunning Versace outfit. Saved by the fashion!
Later that night, Katy took the stage to perform her latest single, “Chained To The Rhythm”. The performance took a massively political turn when two giant skeletons dressed as President Donald Trump, 70, and British Prime Minister Theresa May, 60, came out. You might have missed the political statement being made by Katy unless you recognized the outfits on the giant skeletons, which included a black suit and red tie for “Donald” and a red/orange skirt suit with a colorful scarf for “Theresa”. Awkward!
