OMG! Rumor has it, Birdman is planning to get his Cash Money gang back together on an epic reunion tour! But will Lil Wayne be there? Get the scoop here!
This is super exciting! Birdman, 47, has reportedly been making huge plans to throw a Cash Money reunion tour in the new year, and it’s going to be SO epic, according to TMZ. The tour’s roster should include all of the huge names who helped make the music label what it is today, but as for whether the label’s shining star Lil Wayne, 34, will be on the tour, Birdman seems to think that he don’t need him! Say, what?!
According to sources close to Birdman, the lineup only consists of Juvenile, 41, Mannie Fresh, 47, Turk, 37, and some of the music label’s current up-and-coming acts, as well as Birman himself. While the roster is definitely enough to get fans really pumped, what is a real reunion tour without Lil Wayne?
But thankfully, this isn’t the final roster. Birdman is reportedly keeping the door open to Wayne joining the tour, but the two would have to sit down and discuss a lot of business before that would ever happen. As you may already know, Birdman and Lil Wayne are not in a good place. On top of the fact, that the once close label mates are tied up in a vicious legal battle surrounding the rights to Lil Wayne’s album Carter V, the two have put an even bigger strain on their relationship by bad-mouthing each other in the media!
Lil Wayne in particular, has not been taking the high road and has chanted some really hurtful things about Birdman. During a concert back in Nov. 2016, the rapper even went so far as to yell “f*ck Cash money” on stage. Ouch! And prior to that, the rapper has vocally stated in various interviews that he and Birdman will never be cool again and that he does not consider him family at all, although he once referred to him as his “father.”
Birdman reportedly has his eye on kicking off the Cash Money reunion tour some time in Feb. 2017. So if there is any hope of Lil Wayne making an appearance during the concerts, the boys may wanted to start getting together and hashing out their differences now.
