Kanye West and Donald Trump got together for a very affectionate meeting at Trump Tower in New York City on Dec. 13. Here’s what they talked about!
Kanye West, 39, visited Trump Tower in New York City to meet with president-elect Donald Trump, 70, on Dec. 13 — barely two weeks after the rapper was sent home to rest after his time in the hospital. So what did they discuss? WATCH above.
“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Trump says in the video. “We discussed [life].” One reporter then asks Kanye if he plans to perform at the inauguration, but he gives no comment. “I just want to take a picture right now,” he jokes. Trump and Kanye then shake hands. “Take care of yourself — I’ll see you soon,” Trump can be heard saying to the rapper, who is still recovering from his “breakdown” that landed him in the UCLA Medical Center for over a week.
Ivanka Trump, 35, and Eric Trump, 32, were also in the meeting, and Ivanka even went downstairs with her father to see Kanye out. As for Kanye’s support group, he brought his mom Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend Corey Gamble, 35, along with a video crew — as we know, Kanye doesn’t like to let a moment of his life go unrecorded!
As we previously told you, Kanye reportedly requested a meeting with Trump, who agreed to spend fifteen minutes with the rapper, according to TMZ. Bystanders freaked out when they saw Kanye strolling through the lobby of Trump Tower, and the cell phone cameras were whipped out faster than you can say “Kanye West ForPrez”.
As Ye was sighted in Trump Tower, rumors began circulating that he might perform at Trump’s inauguration in January. Everyone was shocked when the “Famous” singer went on a lengthy rant about the election at his San Jose concert on Nov. 17, telling the crowd that he didn’t vote, but if he had, he would have voted for Trump. That’s an endorsement if we ever saw one!
