So THAT’s why they met? A new report claims that Donald Trump reached out to Kanye West to plan their big meeting on December 13, and that’s because he has a very specific ‘ambassador’ type role in mind for the rapper.
Donald Trump, 70, has some very specific plans for rapper Kanye West, 39, when it comes to his Presidency. Apparently, the President-Elect of the United States would like to place Kanye into an “ambassador”-type role, reports E! Online. It’s not exactly a spot in the cabinet, but we’re sure Kanye’s thrilled to have the opportunity either way!
“Trump thinks he’s a great role model when it comes to business,” a source close to the situation shared. So far, Donald and Kanye have kept pretty mum about the situation, with the President-Elect only telling press that they are “just friends” and that Kanye is a “good man.”
The source also shared that Trump would like to get Kanye involved in an “entrepreneurial leadership role” during his presidency. It’s extremely unclear what this could mean as far as Kanye working with the President once he’s put into office, but it will be very interesting to see what these two get into together.
As far as whether or not Kanye is planning to try and take Trump down in the 2020 election by running for President himself, the “Famous” rapper refused to comment. The press repeatedly asked him as he posed for photos with Donald inside Trump Tower on December 13, but he told them he just wanted to take “pictures” and stayed silent about running despite his announcement to do just that in 2015.
