So heartbreaking! Louis Tomlinson has taken to his social media to give yet another thank you to his fans for their ‘incredible support’ following his mother’s tragic passing. Keep reading for his moving message.
Brave Louis Tomlinson, 24, is thanking fans for their outpouring of emotion following his mother Johannah Deakin‘s death from an aggressive form of leukemia on Dec. 7. He used the simple words, “Thank you for the incredible support :)” to let them know how much their love means to him on an Instagram post Dec. 12. The caption was next to a photo from when he performed live on the British X Factor season finale at Wembley Stadium alongside DJ Steve Aoki, 39 just a few days after she died. Even with the heartbreak of his mother’s passing still so fresh, he used music to help overcome his grief Dec. 10, and is thankful that he got such a warm response.
This is only the second time Louis has spoken out since Johannah’s death at the young age of 43. “All the support has been incredible! Let’s do this together tonight,” he told his fans via Twitter Dec. 10 ahead of his big X Factor performance. He’s handled the tragedy with such bravery and composure, yet he still has to be positively aching from the loss of his beloved mom.
We had no idea how dire things were for Johannah, but he gave us a hint three weeks ago when be posted a throwback pic next to her from back in Feb. and captioned it, “My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year. I love you and miss you so much!” At the time we thought it was just because he’s been living in L.A. full-time, but now the message means so much more.
