It will obviously be incredible difficult for Louis Tomlinson to perform on the ‘X Factor’ finale just three days after his mother’s death. However, it was reportedly Johannah Deakin’s dying wish that her son take that stage once again, and for her, he’s still planning to go through with it.
Louis Tomlinson’s first solo performance has reportedly been in the works for quite some time. The 24-year-old’s mom, Johannah Deakin, longed to see her son on the stage again, and as she fought hard against leukemia, she made him promise to get back out there at the X Factor finale on Dec. 10, according to The Sun.
Sadly, Johannah passed away on Dec. 7, just three days before she was able to see her son perform. But as a tribute to her after her hard-fought battle against cancer, Louis is still planning to take hit the X-Factor like she wanted, the paper reports.
Louis was reportedly set to perform his and Steve Aoki’s new song, “Just Hold On,” on the finale. A snippet of the track dropped on Dec. 9, and although it’s an upbeat, dance track, it definitely has sentimental lyrics that seem to be directed toward what his mother’s been going through. It is unclear if this is still the song he plans on singing.
Johannah was hospitalized for an “aggressive” form of leukemia in May and was sadly just 43 years old when she passed away this week. She leaves behind seven children, as well as a grandson, Louis’ baby, Freddie, and her husband, Dan Deakin. Louis has not publicly commented on this devastating news publicly yet, although his bandmate, Liam Payne, and former bandmate, Zayn Malik, 23, have both sent their condolences on Twitter. Harry Styles, 22, and Niall Horan, 23, have yet to comment.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Louis performing on the X-Factor for his mother? Do you like the song?
