Luke Pell may not have been JoJo Fletcher’s pick on The Bachelorette, but he sure seems to be over the heartbreak months later! The 32-year-old even got to star in Runaway June’s hot new music video for their debut single, “Lipstick”!

“We have a mutual friend and he’s a [country music] writer and plays in Nashville,” band member Jennifer Wayne told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “So Hannah [Mulholland] had the idea to ask him to be in the video and we were like, ‘Do you think he’ll do it?!’ And he said yes! It was so cool. He was so nice and just really easy to work with.”

The girls revealed that Luke was totally go with the flow all day, too, and they loved having him around! “He was so cool on set and just let us drag him around all day long,” lead vocalist, Naomi Cooke, added. “So nice. He was the perfect guy for that one.”

And the public is certainly LOVING the song and video — “Lipstick” reached No. 29 at Country radio this week, making Runaway June the first all-female trio to earn a Top 30 song on the country charts in ten years. Oh, and as if this wasn’t all awesome enough, the group also got to perform with Carrie Underwood at the CMAs last month!

“We don’t know how that came about, just pure luck,” they explained to us EXCLUSIVELY. “We had kind of a mutual friend that had played our music for Carrie months and months before, so when she decided she wanted to do this all-girl band, she somehow remembered us. For us, it felt totally out of the blue getting that call. We were just jumping up and down up until the performance!”

With a short break in their schedules coming up, the ladies revealed they’re planning on working hard on their debut album. “We’re really excited to get back in the studio,” Naomi gushed. And we can’t wait to hear it!

HollywoodLifers, what do you think of the “Lipstick” video? Do you think Luke was a good choice for the male lead?
