She’s lookin’ great AND sounding great! Miranda Lambert takes the stage on the Dec. 7 episode of the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show,’ and her performance of ‘Vice’ is totally getting us emotional. Watch here!
Miranda Lambert, 33, has made a point not to do much press for her new album, The Weight of These Wings, and to continue to avoid answering any questions about her divorce from Blake Shelton, 40, she stuck to a simple performance for her Dec. 7 appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show. She belted out the record’s first single, “Vice,” on Ellen’s stage, evoking all sorts of emotions as she smiled through the heartbreaking lyrics.
Wearing a black jumpsuit with halter neckline, Miranda showed off her slimmed-down figure for the set, jamming out on her acoustic guitar throughout the performance. She wore her blonde locks straight and down with a middle part, and went for a shimmery smokey eye for her makeup look. All in all? Beyond stunning!
While Blake has been pretty open about the 2015 split — and, of course, his rebound with Gwen Stefani — the 33-year-old has kept totally quiet, letting her music do all the talking. The Weight Of These Wings is incredibly raw and revealing, and seems to tell the story of a woman who is constantly running from love and everything else put in front of her.
Of course, as she sings in the song “Pushin’ Time,” the best love comes when it’s least expected, which is exactly what happened when Miranda met her current boyfriend, Anderson East. The pair have been together for just over a year now, and while their romance certainly hasn’t been as public as Blake and Gwen’s, they’ve made it clear on several occasions that they’re very happy together. Hopefully he’s not just “another vice!”
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Miranda’s performance on Ellen?
