Well, this was quite a treat! Amid an intense elimination episode of ‘The Voice’ on Dec. 6, we were also blessed with an incredible performance from One Republic. The guys took the stage to perform their latest single, ‘Let’s Hurt Tonight,’ and it was epic!
Ryan Tedder and his band, One Republic, are seasoned pros when it comes to performing on television shows, so it’s no surprise that they absolutely nailed their performance of “Let’s Hurt Tonight” on The Voice! The beloved band dressed in all black for their performance, rocking out amidst a stage full of smoke, accompanied by an orchestra jamming in the background. Pretty cool, huh!? The remaining contestants can certainly learn something from this band!
“Let’s Hurt Tonight” is One Republic’s fourth single off their album Oh My My, which was released in October. The touching song will be featured in the upcoming movie, “Collateral Beauty,” which stars Will Smith, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren and opens in theaters on Dec. 16.
As of now, Ryan and the guys have yet to announce any specifics on a tour for the album, but they did promise there’s something coming! “OH MY MY world tour will happen,” they tweeted in August. “It will start early in 2017, details coming.” Umm, please don’t hold out any longer — we need the deets!
Of course, there was a LOT to get to on The Voice results show besides just this fun guest appearance! With the remaining eight contestants giving amazing performances on Monday’s episode, it will obviously be incredibly hard to see four go home ahead of the finale next week! But One Republic’s performance certainly did help take our minds off it, at least for a few minutes!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of One Republic’s performance?
