The first episode of Nashville season 5, which is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment, will be available to stream the next day, Dec. 16, on Hulu. The entire season will be available to stream on Hulu as well. If you need to catch up on Nashville, seasons 1-4 are on Hulu now!

CMT also dropped the first full-length trailer for season 5. The trailer takes you inside Juliette’s plane crash and Rayna and Deacon hint at making an album together. The official synopsis for the new season reads, “The season begins with Rayna and Deacon facing a new normal with Maddie now back home and Highway 65 struggling financially. The shocking news about Juliette creates a wave of emotions throughout Nashville and sets Rayna off on a journey of discovery.”

The new season on CMT is going to bring many changes. “We’re getting to spend a little more time with the songs,” Charles Esten told Entertainment Tonight. “Some of the plots won’t be quite as accelerated, or there won’t be quite as many incidents, as [executive producer] Marshall [Herskovitz] has said it. What that means is we’re getting more time within the scenes.”
