Are you guys ready to ring in 2017!? As always, it’s going to be a celeb-filled show at this year’s ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ on Dec. 31, with Mariah Carey set to headline the event from Times Square. Find out who will be joining her and more right here!
Mariah Carey will be hitting New York City for New Years Eve, according to the Associated Press. The site reports that MiMi will headline Dick Clark’s annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special straight from the Big Apple, and she’ll be joined by fellow performers DNCE, Thomas Rhett and Gloria Estefan with the cast of On Your Feet.
Ryan Seacrest is once again set to host the live show, along with Jenny McCarthy, who will report from the crowd on the exciting night. Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles, Fergie will be hosting the annual Billboard Hollywood Party, which can also be seen throughout the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve broadcast. And, as we EXCLUSIVELY reported, Niall Horan will be on the west coast to sing, too!
2005 was the last time Mariah performed on the New Year’s show, so her return has certainly been a long time coming! It’s been quite a few months for the singer, too, so we can imagine she’s ready, more than anyone, to start over in 2017. What better place to start?!
Meanwhile, this has been a breakout year for Joe Jonas’ band, DNCE — they started off 2016 by touring with Selena Gomez, 24, then released their debut album in November. Meanwhile, Thomas has also been doing pretty well for himself on the country music scene, with his hit “Die a Happy Man” receiving recognition at award shows left and right. This is going to be GOOD!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Mariah is a good choice for the headliner? Who do you want to see perform?
