Girl power! ‘Victoria’s Secret’ model Veronica Webb revealed that she loves the younger generation of Angels gracing the catwalk this year, including Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. Read ahead for EXCLUSIVE details on why she couldn’t be more proud of their sky-rocketing careers!
Veronica Webb, 51, knows a thing or two about strutting her stuff in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, having modeled in the first one ever! Although she’s not walking in this year’s star-studded lineup, she complimented newcomers who recently earned their wings like Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid. Veronica told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “More power to these girls. I never resent anyone for becoming successful!” She added, “I love to see the way different people wear clothes and the attitude that each girl brings to each look.” Veronica also revealed that she’ll be showing her support by clapping for “this crop of Angels” from the front row!

Veronica even addressed the power of social media and how it’s propelling the careers of many superstars these days. She explained, “Social media is super positive because it really lifts the barriers between fans and the stars and the models who they love. I think it also gives people a way to make themselves real and to share not only the aspirations they have, but to kind of pull the veil back a little bit to show the struggle and work that goes into it.” She’s got a point, since Kendall, Gigi and Bella definitely utilize their connectivity with fans in the best way ever.
Meanwhile, Veronica knows how to break barriers herself. She was the first African-American to have a major cosmetics contract and she’s also modeled for Vogue, Essence and Elle. Looking ahead, she predicts and welcomes change on the VS runway. “It’s changing and let’s keep changing. I predict within the season you’re going to see very curvy girls out there.”
