Following the horrific premiere of ‘The Walking Dead,’ a video leaked showing that Negan’s victim was actually Maggie. So why did he shoot a scene killing her? Plus, how long will Negan be around?
“I did kill shots on the entire cast,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed when he stopped by the Howard Stern Show Nov. 29, when asked about that viral video of Negan killing Maggie instead of Abraham on the premiere. “I think the plan was, they would leak some stuff beforehand just to throw people off because there are people whose sole purpose is to ruin the show, to spoil what’s going to happen on the show.”
Negan also touched on the upcoming episodes; he hasn’t been seen in the past couple, but his presence was of course felt. “The next two, I’m really big in,” he said. “I’m fu-king heavy in those.” For fans who were wondering just how long he’d be around for, he also confirmed you won’t see him being killed anytime soon — he’ll be back through season eight (at least).
He’s also well aware that even as a villain, his fans are very passionate about him. He touched on the fact that he gets intense letters from female fans, but his biggest fan is his son, 6, who he has with wife Hilarie Burton. Obviously at that age he can’t watch the show, but he has a Walking Dead backpack that he wears to school!
“He’s got his own baseball bat! “He’s got a little Lucille,” he said, adding that one time his son was “playing Negan” in their chicken coop! “He comes bounding out of the chicken coop and he’s dressed full-Negan with the baseball bat,” he said, adding his son was saying “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” to the hens. Not to worry — none of them to the treatment that Abraham and Glenn did.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that Negan will last another season?!
