The best things in life aren’t always free… like your freedom. Kodak Black knows this better than anyone. The up and coming rapper was just released from jail in Florida, but he is now facing new charges that could put him back in the slammer! Yikes!
Kodak Black, 19, was released from St. Lucie County Jail in Florida on Nov. 28, but his freedom has not been so sweet. The rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was immediately summoned to South Carolina following his release to answer questions pertaining to a sexual battery accusation.
The accusations come against the “No Flockin” rapper after the criminal sexual conduct reportedly occurred on or about February 7, 2016. According to authorities, Black is alleged to have engaged in the sexual battery of a victim at a hotel in Florence, South Carolina.
He is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center and a court date has not been set, the sheriff’s spokesman told The Sun.
“We are firmly convinced that he will be vindicated in that charge and shortly be set free,” said Gary Kollin, one of Black’s attorneys. “He’s looking forward to getting to South Carolina so he can go on with his life.” It was reported that Black could face up to 30 years if charged with the felony.
Black’s recent stint in jail came in August, after he was on probation and put under house arrest for a robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing from an officer and the possession of a fire arm. He ended up in prison after a warrant was issued for the possession of cannabis. Kodak Black spent 120 days in jail for the charge.
