It’s war! Jon Gosselin has had enough of not being able to see his special needs son Collin, and now he’s planning to fight ex-wife Kate for custody of all eight of their kids. Keep reading for why he’s finally ready to head to court.
Jon Gosselin, 39, is stepping up and demanding his equal rights as a parent to his eight kids with ex-wife Kate, 41. He currently only has visitation with twins Cara and Mady, 16, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, 12, but now he’s seeking joint custody according to a new report in In Touch Weekly. “So there will be a trial as soon as possible. The judge ordered it,” their source claims. “Jon’s been waiting for this for a very long time.”
“The judge is ordering psychological evaluations of all eight kids and for both Kate and Jon before heading to trial,” the source adds. “Jon hopes the judge will meet with all the kids privately in his chambers, without Kate, to find out (the truth) and what they really want.”
One sticking point for Jon is that Kate sent away their special needs son Collin to a care facility and won’t tell him where the boy is. As a result, Jon has gone a painful 18 months without seeing him. The only thing we know is a brief nugget that she revealed on Kate Plus 8 where she said, “I was not able with my own resources here to meet his needs. He needs to be in an environment to help him learn the skills and gain the insight to be the best Collin that he can be.”
“Jon feels totally in the dark. He still doesn’t know why Collin got sent away,” their insider adds. “He knows nothing about Collin’s diagnosis or what medication he might be taking. He has been cut off in terms of information for almost two years.” Poor Jon! It must be so heartbreaking to have no idea what is son is going through. As a parent he totally deserves some answers. But since Kate won’t give him any, it looks like it will take a judge to make that happen.
HollywoodLifers, do you think a judge will grant Jon joint custody of his kids?
