Carson Wentz’s stellar 2016 season just got even more amazing, as the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback just rushed for his very first NFL touchdown! Keep reading for how the rookie went absolutely wild with joy Nov. 28 after achieving the big milestone on ‘Monday Night Football.’
There are some quarterbacks in the NFL who are capable of rushing for as many touchdowns as they throw. Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles is definitely not one of those guys. But that all changed during their big Monday Night Football match-up against the Green Back Packers when the 23-year-old got his very first rushing TD of his NFL career, and he couldn’t have been more thrilled!
The rookie was at second and goal at the one yard line when he dropped back to throw and couldn’t find an open receiver. What he did find was an open pocket into the right side of the end zone and went for it, running in and diving over the goal line while still looking for a receiver to throw to.

This was mighty bold of Carson, as there were three Packers defenders right there who could have messed him up pretty badly, but his nice easy dive through them put any running back to shame! He was obviously elated over his first rushing TD of his career, as he jumped to his feet with his arms raised high in the air. It was like he couldn’t even believe that he just gave his team their first score of the game all by himself! Needless to say, his fellow Eagles players were so thrilled for him that they all ran over to him, patting him on the shoulders and helmet for a job well done!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Carson will lead the Eagles to the playoffs in his rookie year? Or are they too far out of the hunt?
