Adriana Lima showed us she might just be the hardest working Angel when it comes to her fitness routine. The Victoria’s Secret veteran gave HollywoodLife an inside look at her boxing workout as she shared some of her fashion show highlights.
Adriana Lima, 35, is about to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway for her 16th time, but she’s working out harder than ever ahead of the 2016 show. Before she made her way to Paris with the rest of the Angels, Adriana headed to Aerospace in NYC, where she and her boxing trainer Michael Olajide Jr. gave us a full rundown on her daily workout routine.
“Working out is really part of my life every day,” Adriana told Fashion Director Katrina Mitzeliotis. “It’s part of my job, [but] my passion is still boxing,” she said.
Filming her workout for the Victoria’s Secret Facebook Live, Adriana’s cardio routine included everything from jumping rope and work with resistance bands to boxing sequences. Not only does her boxing-based workout torch calories, but it also works to tone the abs, legs, butt and arm muscles.
“I’m my children’s example,” Adriana went on to say of why working out is so important to her. “I like to make sure that I eat healthy and balanced,” she added.
Of course, even a Victoria’s Secret Angel with six pack abs indulges every now and then, and Adriana told People Style that her go-to is chocolate cake. “I love chocolate cake, and every time I eat it I just enjoy it so much,” Adriana said in a video interview. “Right after I feel a little bit guilty because I’m the type of person to have two or three pieces of chocolate cake,” she added, laughing, “I cannot control myself!”
