PSG and Arsenal are so evenly matched, when they first played in the opening game of this Champions League season, they walked away with a 1-1 draw. For Arsenal, a tie is unacceptable. They haven’t topped a Champions League group since the 2012 season, according to ESPN. That should be motivation to go all out and send PSG back to Paris with a loss.
It doesn’t help that Les Parisiens are dealing with the methods of new manager, Unai Emery, 45. His decision to play Angel Di Maria, 28, in a Ligue 1 match may have cost this Champions League clash, as Angel may have injured his hamstring. Javier Pastore, 27, may be out with a knee injury, according to the Evening Standard.
Arsenal has its own injuries, with Hector Bellerin, 21, and Santi Cazorla, 31, recuperating from ankle and Achilles injuries, respectively. Arsene Wegner, 67, needs to make a decision if he’s going to use Olivier Giroud, 30, Theo Walcott, 27, or the potentially still-sore Alexis Sanchez, 27, to ensure victory. Despite these issues, the Gunners are the slight favorites to win this game. Can they do it or will PSG prove that Arsenal is really shooting blanks?
Who do you want to win this match, HollywoodLifers? Do you want PSG to prevail or do you want Arsenal to nail a bullseye?
