Well THAT certainly blew us away. Jimmy Kimmel gathered up a ton of A-list talent for his second annual RED Shopathon for AIDS research, and they gave us a killer ‘Rat Pack’ themed holiday song. Keep reading for more on Bono and the huge celebs who performed “We’re Going to Hell.”
So what do you get when you have Bono, Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Neil Patrick Harris, Halsey, Kristen Bell, The Killers and DJ Khaled in the house? A whole lot of talent that was bound to provide for an incredible time during Jimmy Kimmel‘s RED Shopathon for AIDS research Nov. 22. Leave it to them all to totally bring it with the brand new holiday classic, “We’re Going to Hell!” They sang along with Brandon Flowers on the piano about all the luxe things they have in their lives, but that they’re going to pay for it in the afterlife if they’re not more generous!
“Tis the season and we’ve all done so well. But this time our sleigh ride is going to Hell,” NPH sang, while Brandon countered, “We’ve got Ferraris and a weekend home in Carmel. But if we don’t help people with AIDS we’re going to Hell.” HAH! The whole gang got in singing lines about all the awesome things they have as rich and successful people, but at least their hearts are in the right place by knowing they need to help others.
As soon as they wrapped up their “RED Pack” number as Jimmy called it, Bono arrived from Hell in a bathtub and explosions of fire and brought out the true rock star that he is! His guitar fused part of the song while painted up as the devil got the moment going, and he eventually wandered over and joined the group for the final chorus.

Jimmy promised that it would be one of his biggest shows of the year and he totally delivered. This was his second annual RED Shopathon show to raise money for Bono’s AIDS charity, with last year’s being such a huge success. For all the funds the show raises, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation matches it dollar for dollar so it’s a great way to do some holiday shopping while helping out a great cause. Jimmy offered up killer celebrity experiences for his audience to bid on, including a jet ski ride with DJ Khaled followed by an epic Snapchat session and a private lunch with Liam Payne. And of course we got to see all those A-list stars hanging out, giving us song and dance and a rollicking good time!
The Killers also just released a Christmas album benefitting (RED) with their 10 previous singles and one brand new song — you can get Don’t Waste Your Wishes right here!
